There are lots of different definitions of coaching, but in essence:
Coaching supports a person to become who they want to be, and do what they want to do.
Coaching builds awareness, empowers choice, and leads to change.

The International Coaching Federation gives a useful explanation about how coaching is different from therapy and other helping professions: https://coachfederation.org/app/uploads/2018/06/UnlockYourPotential.pdf
The goal of coaching is for you to say "Thanks, I've got what I need and I can make it happen now". The amount of session each client needs depends on what they want to achieve.
I'm going to list some examples of topics we might cover to illustrate how many you might need, but I'll always make a recommendation during the discovery call.
One-off sessions:
Resolving minor workplace conflict
Preparing for an interview or presentation
4-6 sessions:
Work/life balance
Setting boundaries
Workplace adjustments and post-diagnostic support
Imposter syndrome and confidence
Rejection sensitivity
Starting a new job
Job search
6-12 sessions:
Significant career transitions
Designing their future

In short, have a browse of a few coaches' websites with your own goals for coaching in mind. See what resonates and check their qualifications. I recommend choosing two or three coaches to have a discovery call with, then you can make an informed choice about who best meets your needs.

We can co-create a judgment-free coaching experience which works for you and accommodates your needs.
It's easier to understand and be understood by fellow autistic people because of the 'double empathy' problem and shared lived experiences. (Find out more here: https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/professional-practice/double-empathy)
It's easier to unmask in front of other autistic people, so all of your cognitive energy can go towards thinking. (More on masking: https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/professional-practice/autistic-masking)
Usually every 2-4 weeks, depending on your goals.
Accessibility is different for everyone. I'm committed to doing everything I can to make my coaching as accessible as possible. If there's something you need that isn't already built into my offer, email me at [email protected] and I'll do everything I can to accommodate you.
In coaching sessions with me, you are free to do what you need to do to make yourself comfortable - whether that's turning the camera off, answering the door for a delivery, using fidget toys, or wearing sensory friendly clothes. The most important thing is that you're in an environment where you can think.
If you're comfortable having the transcript on, I can share it with you, so you can process in your own time and have your 'aha' moments between sessions as well as in them.
I use Google Meet's captions and you can too.
I automatically send 2 reminders before each session.
I offer a range of times in the morning, afternoon and evening so you can choose a time which works best for your brain and your schedule. If there isn't a time that works for you, email me at [email protected] and I'll try to find suitable time.
There are a few different options here, and you can choose which suits you best.
Google Meet - video or voice calls. Lots of people enjoy voice calls whilst walking.
Chat - we can message one another via Google meet for the duration of the session.

Absolutely not. Diagnoses are hard to access and you deserve support.
If you do have a diagnosis, you may be eligible to have your coaching funded through Access to Work: https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work
£205 a session for privately funded and Access to Work clients.
£225 a session for employer funded clients.
I recommend booking a block of sessions so you don't have to deal with the admin of paying each time.
Privately funded: I'll send you a payment link when you've confirmed you want to work together.
Employer funded: I'll invoice your employer.
Access to Work funded: The funding will come from your Access to Work grant.
Not at present. If you're interested, please register below and you'll be the first to know if I set one up.
If you have a question I've not answered, send me an email at [email protected] and I'll get back to you. I'm always adding to my FAQ so it's helpful to know what's missing. Thanks!
